How We Spend Our Days

I am a Catholic Homeschooling Mother of a large family trying to live out God's will for me one day at a time.I once read the following quote " How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives..."I have been really inspired to live my vocation more effectively and joyfully by reading other Moms' blogs and I hope to add what little I can to the mix.

Driving Grandma Dolly

Driving Grandma Dolly is one of the things we do about once a week or 10 days. She is a very spry Senior who was not blessed with children so we take her to Wally's World or the Dr. or Dentist whenever needed. This was Greg's responsibility when he first got his license. He could get an "ahhhhhhh" from all the girls in his class by saying " I've got to drive my Grandma Dolly to the store every Wednesday." It was kind of like Tuesdays with Morrie. When he started college it became my responsibility .For the last year or more, Sam has taken over driving Dolly on the electric scooter while in the store because she can't walk that far. He makes her a little crazy by going too fast but she always tips him a dollar at the check out. She is ALWAYS a pleasure to spend time with and is very grateful and appreciative of our help.
