I had absolutely no idea how much fun Arts and Crafts could be until we put the invitations together for Meg's upcoming nuptials. Here Natalie is using her hair straightener to smooth the ribbons used to lace through the cards.
We set up an assembly line on a Sunday afternoon and what we thought was going to be a chore turned out to be a lot of fun. It was very pleasant to work together on a project and I could see why people enjoy crafts so much.
We found that the do-it-yourself invitations were just right for our needs and were able to use a coupon at Office Max to have them professionally printed. Our job was then to assemble them which required a number of steps.
These intricate pieces were not difficult to punch out along the perforated lines.

Every year, the Post office issues special stamps that are specifically designed for wedding invitations. These gold rings are very classy and symbolic of the Sacrament of Matrimony. As we plan and prepare, that idea is what we are concentrating on.
Our beautiful Bride-to-Be received some help with her invites from this special guy after he woke up from his nap!
