Our local museum hosted a free Flower Show with a Parisian theme.
Since no one else in the family was interested in attending, I almost skipped it. However, I treated myself to go as it seemed like a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Many Garden Clubs were competeing in categories written in the beautiful French language.
The two pictures above were located in the section " La Bosquet de la Reine a la Palais de Versailles"
( The Queen's Grove at Versailles)
Les Choses Parisien
( All Things Parisian) featured Les Chapeaux, (hats)
Le Marriage ( a French Wedding) with little nosegay bouquets.
Les Petites was a miniature category.
This orchid was interesting to me because Tori received an orchid as a gift from her fellow and they grow with many of their roots exposed as you can see in this picture.
This arrangement, a blue ribbon winner was entered in the category L'Houx et c'est Baies,
(Holly and it's Berries).
The museum itself had some decorations to accent the theme.
I was so glad that I went to experience the extravagant beauty of the flowers, the tastefully dressed senior ladies who prepared them and to see the elegant French language in print.
