We began the Apple Blossom festivities early by going downtown to hear this band play. Both Chelsea's Mom and Dad are in the band as are the parents of two other friends of our family.
Although other folks came out to sample many local wines, the kids and I just wanted to spend time listening to some very good music while hanging out with Jeff and Chelsea in this fresh air venue.
The afternoon was chilly! It was wonderful to experience the old buildings and alleyways of downtown with which at one time I was quite familiar. We were able to listen to one whole set which included Mustang Sally and some other fun songs including one by Patsy Cline.
This couple was having a blast dancing extremely well together in "East Coast Swing" style. You could tell that they danced all the time and their moves were almost choreographed- so entertaining and polished. It made us want to take dancing lessons!
We chatted with them and found out that they teach dancing lessons! What an advertisement! We had to get home to prepare for our evening adventure and got caught in the rain which was very exciting as we ran to our parking spot, blocks away.
