Saint O' Lanterns

We picked up twenty big pumpkins on sale in preparation for our  Homeschool Cooking Club.
A long table was set up in the garage and 16 boys and girls placed the design they had chosen on their pumpkin to carve. The kids brought their own tools and we had extra tools to share.

Allison and I take turns hosting the monthly get together and she downloaded these Christian designs for the children to choose from.
The kids worked hard to do a good job and this took some time to do well.
In addition to carving Saint O'Lanterns, we made pumpkin cupcakes. Going around and around the table, each kid added ingredients to the batter and later frosted their own cupcakes to enjoy with apple cider.

At the end of our afternoon, our members took their pumpkins home with a votive candle for lighting inside of it. It was a good time and I hope that they all enjoyed it as much as the adults did.
