High Wind Shenanigans

A sudden burst of very high winds came through the yard that was exciting to behold. We saw the sky darkening and could hear the wind coming. Torrential rain poured sideways and trees bent over as the intense storm passed through.
When we came outside, we saw that another large tree sheared off two thirds of the way up.
The entire top of the tree was laying across the yard.
These bored holes in the fallen tree added to its instability.
Light can be seen through more animal holes on the trunk showing the tree's hollow center. It was rotten inside and couldn't take the high wind.
We lost another large limb of this Hickory tree in the front yard. I am pretty sure that a "microburst" touched down, like a mini tornado.
Using the truck, Sam was unable to remove the partially disconnected limb but had fun trying!

Every time I see storm aftermath like this, I chuckle remembering the overturned lawn furniture meme that said:
"Earthquake 2011- We Will Rebuild!"
