Milk and toast started the day for Miss J. on the morning of her first horse show. Because of a prior commitment at church, the boys and I couldn't make it!!!! The girls took pictures for us.
Natalie has been giving Juby lessons and she is very comfortable on this pony, Dixie.
Larry hooked up our trailer and they all picked up Dixie and our pony, April, to take to a local show. Because they are herd animals, you can't take one horse in a trailer. They get lonely and fussy. April is too "green" for Juby to show, so she just went along for the ride.
She said she wasn't nervous.
She signed up for the "Beginner Walk, Trot" and began her class.
Some of her biggest fans were present to watch.
Meg said that the G-meister was sooo proud of her and was loudly cheering her on.
Natalie told us that the judge was grinning from ear to ear throughout the class!
Did I mention that Juby was the only one in the class?
She got a First- a Blue Ribbon!
Here she is with her Horse Show Dad. I suspect this is the first show of many more to come unless I can get her signed up for piano lessons pronto!
