A Wonderful Easter Week-end

It has been such a beautiful week-end, both weather wise and in every other way. This will be a ridiculously long post high-lighting the many activities and get- togethers that we enjoyed.
We started by wishing Grandma Dolly a Happy Birthday and a Happy Easter. She is in wonderful health and spirits as she celebrates her 92nd Birthday.
Natalie participated in the Zone finals after accumulating enough points in the winter shows of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association. We traveled to Maryland for her to compete in the Junior Varsity Jumping and Flat classes. She did well enough on Friday to have to ride again on Saturday. Her sisters, without a jealous bone in their bodies, but wanting to support and help coach her, attended. She won an eighth place ribbon on Saturday and was very pleased with her performance on both days, Thanks be to God.

On Saturday morning, we had our friends and family join us for the Outdoor Stations mentioned in a previous post. Weather is everything and it was Spectacular! It was very spiritual and everyone enjoyed it.We had 48 people in attendance. The families stayed for some fellowship afterward. We were thrilled to have Greg and Cindi stop by.
We kept some of the cousins who played football and  Risk. Of course, no week-end is complete without Canasta!!!!!

Then, we were treated to a delicious Barbecue at Brian and Kat's new house! The food was cooked to perfection and the hospitality delightful. We all had a blast.
Miss J. was getting excited about the imminent arrival of the Easter Bunny.

On Easter Sunday, Meg and Jon became engaged to be married.Jon presented this gorgeous ring in the golden egg with the bunny sitting in a little chair that will be perfect for the little guy to sit in!
We are very excited for them. Jon will be calling our parish priest tomorrow to begin planning the details.

The 11:15 Mass was beautiful with everyone in their Easter finery and ready to celebrate Our Risen Lord,
Alleluia!
The afternoon brought a chance for a trail ride with my honey.
Tim and Kristy brought over some Easter goodies

After this busy week-end, our Easter dinner was a very simple leftover spaghetti!

May all the Joy and Hope of this beautiful season bless you and your family. Happy Easter!
