As a gift to my mother for her birthday, Catherine took the day off from work to spend with her.
That simple idea morphed into quite a nice party for Mom because she invited us all up to visit my sister, not even mentioning that it was her own birthday!
We had a wonderful meal that we all helped with.
Four generations were present to celebrate at this Friday luncheon at Mom and Dad's house. Many grandchildren got to take a day off from schoolwork in order to attend and hang out with their big extended family. The three newest great-grandchildren were also ready to party!
The weather was ideal for the kids and adults to get outside to play and visit.
