Jon preferred the ocean kayak.
The ocean waves are so loud that the first night you have trouble sleeping, and then when you get home, you have trouble sleeping without them!
We all got along well during our week together.
The young people organized some entertainment for themselves one evening outdoors in the garage.
We loved cooking in the kitchen and had almost every meal in the beach house.
One evening, a storm threatened. The dark sky was spectacular. Time to get the boats in!
The storm clouds were delineated starkly against the sea.
Everyone with a camera (or a phone!) ran out to get some pictures of this approaching storm.
It was my pleasure to take a picture of all these lovely young women in our party!
Despite this impressive cloud formation, it only rained a few drops, and then blew out to sea. We were given this opportunity to visit the beach by some very generous friends. There were no crowds at all, in fact we were the crowd during this off-season week.
The G-man has grown taller! We are extremely grateful to have been able to take a picture of this little guy next to this sailor for many years now.
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you so much for this gift of time spent together. Please pour down your blessings upon those who made it possible. Thank you for a safe trip and for protecting those at home who weren't able to join us. Please help all families to have time to spend in your beautiful creation this summer to reconnect with You and with each other, if it be Thy Holy Will. Amen.
