Let's Go Fly A Kite!

Tim bought himself a 3 dollar kite and probably set a world record for how high he was able to successfully fly it. The first day, he flew it over one thousand feet.
The next day, He and Greg attached it to a fishing pole with many more yards of line. The kite was so high in the air that I cold no longer see it. They had some fun by attaching a little red shovel to the line and letting that reel out so high that I could just barely see that! The fishing pole was stuck into the sand and the kite flew itself for hours!

The guys are joined here by Patrick, the gentleman on the right. Patrick is a special man. He seems to have a wonderful life, living with his folks at the beach.
He walks the beach many times daily and talks to everyone. We have seen him each year that we've been there and he recognizes us. He is very sweet and has a fantastic tan!
Most of us went out to spend the afternoon on the beach. This little guy is holding a Jelly fish in such a way that he can't get stung.
Patience sat in a purple shade tent for a short while.
Dawkins enjoyed himself. What's not to love?!!!

Then the guys set up a Frisbee Tennis game complete with sand boundaries.
They all really enjoyed this and some considered it one of the highlights of the week! Sam and John learned to throw and catch a frisbee much better after all this practice and good example.
I can mention here that the water was quite warm. I got in twice and had a blast jumping up with the waves.
Lying in the sun makes me very happy and I did a lot of that at the beach and at the pool while reading My Antonia by Willa Cather.
